This past week we were able to attend the annual Pastor’s Conference in Arequipa Peru. Isaac and I traveled from here over the Andes mountains to the city of Arequipa, where we once lived while in language school. The trip is pretty amazing considering we crossed from one side of the Andes completely to the other side getting to over 15,000 feet at time. It took us close to 10 hours even thought the first part here in Bolivia we went by plane. You can imagine some of the scenery that we had during the trip. We thank the Lord for safety and the opportunity to be part of this conference.
It was truly a great blessing and encouragement both to me and Isaac. We had classes in the morning ending with a service and then a service at night with all the churches from there participating. The theme this year was “Planting Churches” and was a great help to us and many pastors there that have a desire to reach their city, country and world with the gospel. The special speaker for the week was Pastor Austin Gardner of the Vision Baptist Church in Alpharetta GA who we studied with in language school and have worked with for some years. We praise the Lord for his friendship and the time he has invested in our lives. We were also able to meet many pastors and leaders from different parts of South America that were at the conference. I truly praise the Lord for a great group of men of God that are concerned about our responsibility to go out into the harvest that is ripe and ready.
