One of the activities that is very common here, and that the people like a lot is when as a church we go out to a park or recreation area for the day. We did this several years ago and had a great time. This year, as summer was coming to an end we decided to have another one. We reserved a recreation park that has courts for basketball and soccer and a pool along with play areas for the kids. We had right at 100 people between the people of the church and their family and friends. We had some activities together like dodgeball and a soccer tournament. Then after everyone was good and tired we had lunch and then a service time. Afterwards some people played sports and others got in the pool. In all it was a great time of fellowship and an opportunity to reach out to many of the family members of the people from our church.
