Glue Kids

March 9, 2007 by Kevin White

The country of Bolivia is known as one of the poorest countries in South America. There are many people living here without electricity or running water. Although there is a great need economically there is also a great spiritual need. Both of these neds can be seen in a group of young kids here that can be found living on the streets and in shacks near the bus station. Each of these kids will have a small plastic bottle under his or her nose at all times with a type of glue in it that makes them high. These kids run in groups with many of the young girls getting pregnant. They are also known to rob and be very violent. While normally they would not allow you to any pictures recently we were able to speak with them and take some pictures. Please pray for these kids as they need someone to help them to know Christ as Savior.
