This past week we had a special weekend seeing that it was when mother’s day is celebrated here in Bolivia. On Saturday night we had a ladies banquet encouraging the ladies of the church to bring their mother’s and or daughters to this special service. Several of the men of the church came to serve a special meal for the ladies. There were games and activities including a fashion show and finishing up with a Bible lesson presenting the gospel. In all including the teenagers and men present we had around 70. There were also around five ladies that were visiting for the first time.
Then on Sunday we had our mother’s day service. We had special gifts for the moms and a video that talked about the “world’s worst mom”. All the things that his mom did that he thought were terrible at the end he realized that they were good and he decided to do the same with his children. It was a great time honoring the sacrifice of those that have given their lives for us.
