Bolivian Cuisine

June 17, 2009 by Kevin White

A few weeks ago I posted on my face-book that I had eaten what is called here a “tranca pecho” sandwich which literally means gets stuck in your chest. I had quite a few comments and requests to see it so I thought I would let you see a little of our Bolivian Cuisine. This is a sandwich that consists of almost a cup of rice, sliced fried potatoes, breaded meat, a fried egg and onions and tomatoes to top it off all jammed into a bun. As you can tell Bolivians are hearty eaters and also why this sandwich can literally get stuck in your chest when you eat it. If you come down to visit we would be glad to let try one.
